Using MSG, the umami seasoning, for boiling broccoli means you can reduce salt.
- 1/2 bunch (250g) broccoli
- 1 clove of garlic, chopped
- 1/4 tsp AJI-NO-MOTO® (umami seasoning)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper
Boil 1 liter of water in a pot, add MSG and broccoli divided into small bunches, and boil until tender (about 10-15 minutes). Do not discard the boiled water.
Put the olive oil and garlic in a frying pan, fry over low heat. When the aroma starts to come out, put in the broccoli from (1), season with salt and pepper while crushing the broccoli.
Boil the pasta in the pot from (1) one minute earlier than the cooking time, put in the frying pan from (2) and sauté with the broccoli.
