Using MSG to boil the broccoli means you can use less salt. It adds Umami and you can cut down on the salt!
- Broccoli: ½ bunch (250g)
- Garlic: 1 piece chopped (10g)
- MSG 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil: 2 tablespoons (10g)
- Salt and pepper: a little of each
- Pasta of your choice: 2 servings (160 ~ 200g)
Boil 1 liter of water in a pot, add MSG and broccoli divided into small bunches, and boil until tender (about 10-15 minutes). Do not discard the boiled water.
Put the olive oil and garlic in a frying pan, fry over low heat. When the aroma starts to come out, put in the broccoli from (1), season with salt and pepper while crushing the broccoli.
Boil the pasta in the pot from (1) one minute earlier than the cooking time, put in the frying pan from (2) and sauté with the broccoli.
